THE CEBU PRODUCTIONS
This page chronicles the productions I have done in my hometown of Cebu, Philippines, all of which are co-directing projects with my good friend Rudy Aviles. Although I had directed Smokey Joe's Cafe performed in Cebu in 2007, these projects below feature local casts. My first project was CPMS' DISNEY'S THE LITTLE MERMAID Jr. in 2015. This was followed by the Cebu premiere of the Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber musical JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT in August 2016. In February 2017, I was tasked to direct the Sacred Heart School Hijas de Jesus' annual play DISNEY'S MULAN JR. In July 2018, my dream of directing MISS SAIGON was realised when I got to direct the Cebu premiere of MISS SAIGON SCHOOL EDITION. My first project that I collaborated with another director was 2TinCans Philippines production of Terrence McNally's award winning play MASTER CLASS, where I worked with Vince Gaton in February 2019. Broadway Youth Cebu's follow up to Miss Saigon was Les Miserables School Edition, which Rudy and I worked on in mid-2019.
